Icelandic backgammon, Icelandic backgammon or “hunt for girls” is an interesting variety of short backgammon. What is their feature?
* Before the first move, you decide who will be the attacker and who will be the evader.
* Each player has a total of 6 checkers. You place them in holes from 1 to 6, one checker each: white – in white’s home, black – in black’s home. The movement will go counterclockwise.
* Two zaras are used, as in the classic versions, but only ones, sixes and any doubles are counted. Rolled 2, 3, 4 and 5 are not taken into account.
* After a double is rolled, the player throws the dice again.
* The game goes on until one of the players has no checkers left on the field – the one who beat all the opponent’s pieces wins.
